Venue Questions, Answered

The things Houston owners and managers ask us first.

What does it cost a venue to host a game night?

There is no cost to staff it. We bring the host, the games, the gear, the sound, and the crowd. Hosting fees typically run $75-200/night depending on your space and night of the week. We'll lock in the exact number once we know your room and goals.

What does the venue need to provide?

Tables and seating for around 60 people, a power outlet, and permission to use a mic and a speaker. A TV or projector helps for music trivia and game shows, but we can bring our own setup if you do not have one.

How many people show up?

60 or more per event, and we have sold out every night we have run. Most weeks there is a waitlist. These are people who reserved a spot specifically to play, so they arrive on time and stay for two-plus hours.

Which night of the week works best?

Any day of the week works for us, with a priority on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We plan around your calendar, not ours.

Do we have to commit to a series?

No. Most venues start with one trial night to see the crowd and the bar numbers for themselves, then decide on a recurring slot.

What kinds of spaces can host?

Bars, restaurants, patios and rooftops, lounges and event spaces, breweries and wineries, vacant rooms, parks and rec centers. If people can sit, hear a host and order a drink, it can work.

How far in advance should we book?

Three to four weeks is ideal so we can promote it properly to our community. Reach out sooner if you have a specific date in mind.
